natural pesticides

Today I researched natural pesticides. Before this I was not positive on the definition of natural pesticides. I thought that they were made with natural ingredients or something of the sort. What I came to find today is that natural pesticides are the toxins that the plants produce themselves to protect themselves against predators and other dangers. I also found that we eat a lot more natural pesticides that synthetic ( man made) pesticides. This is most likely because we have no control over the pesticides that the plants make themselves, but we can control how much pesticides we put on plants. I also decided today that it would be helpful to check out Rachel Carson's "Silent Spring", which i have learned about before but I could use a lot of the information from that book.

I plan on going to the library when I can to check out that book and see what else I can find. Until then I will find info from websites like these:
